First Call: 911 Edelweiss has NO fire-fighting equipment!
Give 911 your name, phone number, and the fire location. Include the fire location address if known, or describe the distance and direction from notable landmarks.
Then call the EMC Fire Reporting Emergency Number: 855-601-0338
Give the Fire Alert Coordinator the same information you gave to 911: your name, phone number, and the fire location.

NOTE: Avoid parking in dry grass: Catalytic converters, hot exhaust systems and tailpipes have caused many wildfires.
Do you have guests during fire season, if so, download the EMC Visitor FW Information PDF and share it with your visitors. It’s a good idea to also share the EMC Fire Alert Information and Edelweiss Evacuation Map.

| County Burn Ban Info HERE The Burn Restriction is activated by a set date June 15 to October 15 but may be implemented earlier or extended due to conditions. | County RED FLAG STATUS (Will be noted on the NOAA Weather Page, if any Red Flag status exists) During a Burn Restriction, if a Red Flag Warning is issued NO recreational fires will be permitted. |

Recreational Fire Definition: Recreational fires shall be contained in a concrete, rock, or steel ring (made from non-combustible material), no larger than 3 feet in diameter and no less than 8 inches in height. The fire (flames) shall be no higher than 2 feet and not conducted within 25 feet of a structure or combustible material. Recreational fires SHALL be attended to at all times (Okanogan County).
