Pitkin Thomas, EMC Administrative Manager
Pitkin first discovered the Methow Valley in 1998 on a bicycle ride from Oregon to Montana. While pedaling along Highway 20 he realized that the rugged peaks of the North Cascades were exactly the mountains he had spent his whole life searching for. The following year he left Bend, and moved to Whatcom County lured by Mt.Baker’s legendary snowfall. After 14 years of exploring the West Side of the North Cascades, he and his wife Betsy decided it was time to leave mossy Maple Falls and move to Mazama where they could enjoy more sunny days surrounded by nature. When he is not working at one of his many jobs, Pitkin can be found enjoying the serenity of the Cascades, working on home-projects, or just hanging out by the river
